This evening, Tuesday 13th February, the Great Hall of St Andrew’s Theological College in Sydney hosted the Award Ceremony for the students of our Day Schools who distinguished themselves at the Higher School Certificate examinations in 2017.
It was an inspirational function organized by the Greek Orthodox Board of Education (GOBE) and honoured by the Primate of our Church in Australia, His Eminence Archbishop Stylianos.
Present also were His Grace Bishop Seraphim of Apollonia, Chairman of the GOBE, the Reverend Clergy of our Schools, the Consul General for Greece in Sydney the Hon. Christos Karas, Heads of School, Principals, teachers and 58 Distinguished Achievers from last year’s HSC cohort.
George Raptis of St Spyridon College, who attained the highest ATAR (Australian Tertiary Assessment Ranking) from amongst our Schools and was an HSC All-Rounder with Constantinos Kollias, received the highest award at the Ceremony.
The GOBE – bringing our Colleges together in a spirit of collaboration.
GOD BLESS ALL THE PARENTS WHO CHOOSE OUR GREEK ORTHODOX COLLEGES FOR THE EDUCATION OF THEIR CHILDREN.
